1. About these terms
These Terms explain the rules for using Taskdrop. The app is provided by Artur Popov, an independent developer based in Spain. Questions about Taskdrop: pixelsnakeinfo@gmail.com.
By installing or using Taskdrop, you agree to these Terms.
2. Licence and Apple’s terms
Taskdrop is licensed, not sold, for personal use. Apple’s standard licence agreement applies to the app licence. These Terms add rules that are specific to Taskdrop.
You may not copy, resell or distribute the Taskdrop software except as permitted by law; bypass technical limits; interfere with the app or the server; or use Taskdrop unlawfully or for automated bulk requests.
3. Price
Taskdrop is currently free and has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. If this changes, the App Store will show the price before any purchase.
4. How task extraction works
Taskdrop recognises speech with Apple and sends the dictation text to the Taskdrop server and to OpenAI to turn it into tasks with dates and times. The Taskdrop Privacy Policy describes this in detail.
Extraction is done by an artificial intelligence model and can be wrong: it may misread a date, time or task type, or merge separate tasks. The app marks tasks that need review. Check tasks before saving and exporting them. Do not rely on Taskdrop as your only reminder for important medical, legal or financial deadlines, or for events where missing them could cause harm.
Do not dictate anything you do not want to share with OpenAI, such as passwords, card numbers, health data or other sensitive information.
5. Internet, limits and availability
Task extraction needs an internet connection. Offline, the recording is saved on your device and processed later; you can also save it as a plain text task.
To keep the service available, requests are limited per device per minute and per service per day. When a limit is reached, extraction is temporarily unavailable; the recording is kept and processed later.
Artur aims to keep Taskdrop working, but some features depend on Apple, OpenAI, the hosting provider, device compatibility and your connection. Artur may change, suspend or discontinue features when needed for quality, security or the operation of the service.
6. Calendar and Reminders
Export to Calendar and Reminders happens only with your permission. You are responsible for checking the entries Taskdrop adds. Taskdrop does not delete entries in Calendar or Reminders; exporting the same task again may create a duplicate entry.
7. Your data
Tasks are stored on your device, and you are responsible for backing up your device. Deleting the app or using “Delete All Tasks” removes Taskdrop tasks permanently; entries already added to Calendar and Reminders remain.
8. Feedback
Artur may consider and use your suggestions to improve Taskdrop, without payment and without any obligation to use them.
9. Consumer rights and liability
Taskdrop is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. These Terms do not exclude or limit any rights, remedies, warranties or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Changes to these terms
These Terms may change when Taskdrop, Apple’s requirements or the law change. The new version will be published at this address with a new date. You will be informed of material changes affecting your rights as required by law.
11. Governing law and disputes
Spanish law applies, without limiting the mandatory consumer protection of your country of residence. The competent court and out-of-court resolution are determined by consumer protection rules.
